As an extrusion operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the consistent and high-quality output of our edge banding and cove molding products. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining sophisticated extrusion machinery, monitoring production parameters, and ensuring the final product meets our rigorous quality standards. This position demands a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Operating and maintaining extrusion machines, including setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Monitoring the extrusion process, including temperature, pressure, and speed, to ensure consistent quality.
Inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet quality specifications.
Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
Identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient production.
Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Assisting with quality control checks and documentation.
Understanding and following detailed work instructions and production schedules.
Maintaining accurate records of production output and material usage.

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an extrusion operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the furniture or related industry. Experience with edge banding and cove molding extrusion is highly preferred.
Proven ability to operate and maintain extrusion machinery, including troubleshooting common issues.
Strong understanding of extrusion processes, including material properties, temperature control, and pressure regulation.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in using measuring instruments and quality control tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
Experience with PVC, ABS, and other thermoplastic materials used in edge banding is a plus.
Knowledge of different types of edge banding profiles and finishes is a significant advantage.
