About the Role:

As an Edge Banding Printing & Color Matching Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the consistent and accurate reproduction of colors and designs on our wide range of edge banding materials. This involves a multifaceted approach, encompassing:
Color Matching: Accurately matching customer-provided samples or digital designs to our production materials. This requires a keen eye for color, a strong understanding of color spaces (e.g., Pantone, RAL), and the ability to adjust ink formulations to achieve precise matches. Experience with spectrophotometers and color management software is essential.
Printing Process Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing the printing process to maintain consistent color reproduction, minimizing waste, and maximizing efficiency. You will be responsible for troubleshooting printing issues, identifying and correcting discrepancies, and suggesting improvements to our processes.
Ink Management: Managing ink inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain ink quality and prevent waste. This includes accurate mixing and preparation of inks according to specifications.
Quality Control: Performing rigorous quality control checks throughout the printing process, ensuring that printed edge banding meets our stringent quality standards. This will involve inspecting printed materials for defects, inconsistencies, and color variations.
Maintenance & Calibration: Performing routine maintenance and calibration checks on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. This may involve basic troubleshooting and repair, or coordinating with maintenance personnel.
Technical Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of ink formulations, printing parameters, and quality control results. This includes creating and updating technical documentation as needed.
Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other members of the production team, including machine operators, quality control inspectors, and management, to ensure smooth and efficient production.

Qualifications & Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in edge banding printing or a related field (e.g., textile printing, graphic arts).
Proven ability to accurately match colors using various methods, including spectrophotometers and color management software.
Strong understanding of color theory, printing techniques, and ink formulations.
Experience with different printing methods used in edge banding production (e.g., pad printing, screen printing, digital printing).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficiency in using relevant software and equipment.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential; English proficiency is a plus.
