This position demands a candidate with a proven track record of success in the printing industry, particularly within the context of edge banding production. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various printing techniques, including but not limited to: rotary screen printing, flexographic printing, and potentially digital printing. A strong understanding of color management, ink formulation, and pre-press preparation is crucial for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the entire printing process: From initial design approval and pre-press preparation to the final quality control of printed edge banding. This includes managing all aspects of the printing operation, ensuring consistent quality, and optimizing production efficiency.
* Manage and maintain printing equipment: The Printing Master will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our state-of-the-art printing machinery. Proactive maintenance and problem-solving skills are essential to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This includes understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures related to the machinery.
* Develop and implement new printing techniques: We are constantly striving for innovation, so the ability to research, develop, and implement new printing methods and technologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of our production is highly valued. * Maintain high-quality standards: Ensuring consistent color accuracy, sharp image reproduction, and flawless printing on a wide range of edge banding materials is paramount. * Manage and train printing staff: The role includes supervising and mentoring junior printing personnel, providing guidance on best practices, and ensuring the team’s adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this aspect of the role.
* Collaborate with other departments: Effective communication and collaboration with other departments, including design, production, and quality control, are critical for ensuring seamless production flow and meeting customer demands efficiently.
* Inventory management: Responsible for managing the inventory of inks, substrates, and other printing materials, ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained while minimizing waste.
* Cost control: Contribute to the efficient management of printing costs by optimizing processes and reducing waste. The ability to analyze printing costs and identify areas for improvement will be highly valued.
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Quickly identify and resolve any printing issues that arise, minimizing production downtime and ensuring consistent quality.
* Reporting: Regularly report on production efficiency, quality control data, and any potential issues to the production manager.

Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Printing Master or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the edge banding or related field.
* Proven expertise in rotary screen printing, flexographic printing, and ideally, digital printing technologies.
* Thorough understanding of color management principles and ink formulation.
* Strong knowledge of pre-press preparation and file management.
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining various printing machines.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
