This role is not merely about managing inventory; it is about being the ultimate authority on all things related to adhesives, primers, cleaning agents, release agents, and the sophisticated machinery that applies them. Key Responsibilities – What You'll Be Doing:

Adhesive & Ancillary Materials Expertise: Act as the primary technical expert for all types of adhesives (Hot Melt EVA, PUR, APAO), primers, cleaning solutions, release agents, and other ancillary materials used in the application of edge banding. This includes an in-depth understanding of their chemical compositions, performance characteristics, application requirements, and interaction with various substrates and edge banding materials.
Process Optimization & Troubleshooting: Lead efforts to optimize edge banding application processes across various machine types (e.g., Biesse, Homag, SCM, KDT). This involves meticulous analysis of machine parameters, environmental conditions, material compatibility, and operator techniques. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting complex bonding issues, delamination, discoloration, glue line visibility, and other application-related challenges, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective actions.
New Material Evaluation & Supplier Collaboration: Proactively research, evaluate, and test new adhesive technologies, primers, and related accessories from global suppliers. Establish strong technical partnerships with key suppliers to stay abreast of industry advancements, negotiate optimal material specifications, and ensure a stable supply of high-quality, cost-effective materials.
Quality Assurance & Control: Develop and implement rigorous testing protocols for all incoming ancillary materials and for the bonding performance of finished products. Set up and maintain comprehensive quality control standards, perform regular audits of application processes, and work closely with our QA team to ensure consistent, flawless results.
Technical Training & Support: Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training programs for our internal production teams, sales force, and, critically, for our key customers. Educate them on best practices for adhesive selection, machine setup, application techniques, and troubleshooting common issues. Provide expert technical support to resolve customer complaints and optimize their application processes.
R&D Linkage & Innovation: Collaborate closely with our internal R&D department on the development of new edge banding materials that may require novel adhesive solutions or application techniques. Lead projects focused on improving adhesive performance, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing overall application efficiency.
Documentation & Standardization: Create and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for adhesive storage, preparation, application, machine maintenance related to glue systems, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure all processes are meticulously documented to foster consistency and knowledge transfer.
Cost Efficiency & Waste Reduction: Identify opportunities to optimize material consumption, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency related to adhesives and ancillaries without compromising quality.
Environmental & Safety Compliance: Ensure all handling, storage, and application of chemical accessories comply with international safety standards and local environmental regulations. Advocate for and implement safer, more sustainable alternatives where possible.

Who We Are Looking For – Your Profile:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on, progressive experience in a technical role within the edge banding, adhesives, wood panel, or furniture manufacturing industry. Demonstrated expertise specifically with edge banding adhesives (EVA, PUR, APAO) and their application is crucial.
Technical Acumen: Profound knowledge of various adhesive types, their curing mechanisms, and interactions with different substrates (MDF, particleboard, plywood) and edge banding materials (PVC, ABS, Acrylic, Veneer). Familiarity with edge banding machinery and their adhesive application systems is essential.
Problem-Solving Prowess: A proven track record of diagnosing complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing innovative, effective solutions.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data from testing, production processes, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory for international collaboration and documentation).
