Edge Banding Quality Control

Receiving Inventory Form

Upon arrival at our factory, all incoming shipments of edge banding are inspected and recorded on our Receiving Inventory Form. This form captures essential information about the shipment, including:- Date and time of receipt
- Supplier name and contact information
- Edge banding type (PVC, ABS, etc.)
- Color and finish
- Quantity received
- Condition of the packaging
- Any visible damages or defects

Inspection Process

After the shipment has been recorded on the Receiving Inventory Form, a team of experienced quality control inspectors conducts a thorough visual inspection of the edge banding. This inspection involves examining each piece for:- Scratches, dents, or other surface imperfections
- Color uniformity
- Width and thickness tolerances
- Adhesion strength
- Flammability resistance

Non-Conforming Materials

Any edge banding that does not meet our quality standards is marked as non-conforming and is segregated from the conforming inventory. The non-conforming materials are then subjected to further testing to determine the root cause of the issue.

Corrective Actions

Based on the results of the non-conforming material testing, appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent similar defects from occurring in the future. These actions may include:- Adjusting process parameters

Traceability and Reporting

All edge banding that passes our quality control inspection is assigned a unique lot number. This lot number is used for traceability purposes throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring that any issues that arise can be quickly traced back to their source.

We also generate comprehensive receiving reports that summarize the inspection results for each shipment. These reports are shared with our customers upon request.
